Ingredients

1/2 cup
  • 1/4 CupHoisin sauce
  • 3 Tablespoonsminced shallots
  • 1green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoongrated fresh ginger root
  • 1.5 Tablespoonsblack vinegar (or you could use a tart balsamic, or even a red wine vinegar)
  • 1.5 Tablespoonshoney
  • 1/2-1 Tablespoonsoy sauce
  • 2 teaspoonsoil

  1. 1

    All you have to do is stir everything together and brush or spoon it on your roast duck, chicken, pork/ham for the last 15 minutes of the roast.

    If anything other than ham, you'll want to make sure to season the meat with at least some salt before you begin roasting.

    I especially love this glaze with roast duck.
