Ingredients

  • 1 cupdry lentils
  • 41⁄2 cups water
  • 3tomatoes roughly sliced
  • 1medium chopped onion
  • 2 piecesgrated carrot
  • 1 bunchchopped dhania (optional)
  • 1 tspginger garlic paste
  • salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse and drain the dry lentils.

  2. 2

    In a saucepan combine the lentils, with the rest of the ingredients. and put to simmer

  3. 3

    Simmer for 45-50 minutes until lentils and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally
