41⁄2 cups water
3tomatoes roughly sliced
1medium chopped onion
2 piecesgrated carrot
1 bunchchopped dhania (optional)
1 tspginger garlic paste
salt and pepper

Rinse and drain the dry lentils.

In a saucepan combine the lentils, with the rest of the ingredients. and put to simmer

Simmer for 45-50 minutes until lentils and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally
