Ingredients

  1. 10Bird's eye chilies
  2. 20Red chilies
  3. 3Tomatoes
  4. 2 Clovesgarlic
  5. 2Shallots
  6. 1 1/2Candlenuts
  7. 2 Piecesshrimp paste
  8. 1 Piecepalm sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Fry the chilies, garlic, candlenuts, and tomatoes until they are lightly cooked, but not burnt.

  2. 2

    After frying the above ingredients, briefly fry the shrimp paste (10 seconds is enough).

    Drain the oil for a moment to let it drip off.

    Now, start pounding the shallots, garlic, and candlenuts, adding a little salt. Then mix in the chilies, followed by the tomatoes.

    Now add the shrimp paste and palm sugar, and pound until well mixed.
