  1. 0.55 lbpaneer (cut in samll cubes)
  2. 21/2 cupsbasmati rice
  3. 11/2 tablespoonghee
  4. 3cloves
  5. 3cinnamon sticks
  6. 3bayleaves
  7. 5-6cardamon pods
  8. 2 teaspoonsalt
  9. 11/2 tablespoonscumin seeds
  10. 2 tablespoonsrose water
  11. 1 pinchsaffron
  12. 21/2 cupswater

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Heat ghee and add cloves,cinnamon, bayleaves and cardamon

  2. 2

    After a minute, stir in rice (risned & drained), water and salt

  3. 3

    Allow to boil ,reduce heat and cover

  4. 4

    Cook on simmer for 15 -20 min until the rice is cooked and tender

  5. 5

    Add the paneer

  6. 6

    Dissolve saffron in rose water

  7. 7

    Drizzle this over the rice and toss to mix evenly

  8. 8

    Serve with curry

  9. 9
