Ingredients

2 servings
  • 3 roughly mashedBoiled potatoes
  • 1 teaspoonOil
  • 1 teaspoonCumin seeds
  • 1 pinchAsfoateida
  • 1 finely choppedOnion
  • 5 to 6 cloves finely choppedGarlic
  • 1 finely choppedTomato
  • 2 finely choppedGreen chilli
  • 3/4 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1/8 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspCoriander powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 500 mlButtermilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a wok and add oil in it.

  2. 2

    Once oil is heated add cumin seeds and asafoeteida in it. Saute for a minute.

  3. 3

    Now add Onion and garlic cloves. Fry them till Onion changes it's colour.

  4. 4

    Now add tomato and green chilli. Cook it well.

  5. 5

    When tomato becomes soft and mushy add all the spices. Cook them.

  6. 6

    When spices are cooked add boiled potatoes and mix it well.

  7. 7

    Add salt and mix everything properly. Cook it for 1 minute.

  8. 8

    Now add buttermilk in it and stir continuously till first boil.

  9. 9

    After first boil lower the flame and simmer for about 5 to 10 minute.

  10. 10

    After getting desired consistency turn off the flame.

  11. 11

    Your potato sabji in buttermilk curry is ready to eat.
