Hara chana curry

In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds.

When crackles add asafoetida, chopped onion and garlic paste. Saute for sometimes.

Add boiled fresh hara chana.

Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dhania jeera powder. Mix well. Add little water and cook for couple of minutes. Keep aside.

In a vessel whisk curd and besan together. Add enough water and mix well.

Add salt, chopped green chillies and curry leaves. Keep on flame.

Stir occasionally. When it comes to boil add sugar, grated ginger and mix well.

Add prepared hara chana and cook for 4-5 minutes or till get desired consistency. Adjust consistency by water.

In a tadka pan heat ghee, add mustard seeds, cloves, cinnamon pieces and cumin seeds. When crackles add asafoetida and dry red chillies.

Pour this tadka over curry. Mix it and cook for couple of minutes. Switch off the flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Enjoy hara chana curry with rice, Bajra roti or Paratha.
