Katla fish kaliya is a famous and a familiar bengali dish. It is wonderful to eat Katla fish kaliya with hot steamed rice. The taste and the flavour of this dish is unrivaled.

Heat oil in a kadai.

Deep fry fish pieces and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add cumin seeds for seasoning.

Add onion paste and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.

Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste and stir for 30 seconds.

Next add cumin-coriander paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, little amount of salt and saute for 2 minutes.

Add beat yogurt and combine together.

Add warm water and some salt.
When gravy becomes thick, add fried fish and garam masala paste. - 10
Sprinkle chopped Coriander leaves before serveing.
