Wash dal 2 times and drain water, add water and 1/2teasp turmeric powder, salt,

Boil for 2 whistles or cook for 10 mins, otherside heat kadhai or pan add oil

After heating oil, add chopped onion, saute for1mins or fry till golden brown, then add Gingergarlic paste, fry for 30 sec

Then add chopped tomatoes and all spices, turmeric, red chilli, curry Masala. Close lid and cook for 5 mins in medium flame

Add chopped spinach (palak) cook for another five mins

After cooking spinach add boiled dal, don't boil over. Boil like show in the image. otherwise taste will be different

Mix well and cook for another 1 mins, lastly add garam masala, mix well

Tempering, heat oil in tempering pan, add all tempering ingredients into it, fry till aromat

Pour on dalpalak, now ready to serve
