One pot beef taco pasta skillet

I found this recipe and changed it . This taste like the hamburger helper taco , and i will be making this more often. A new way to have tacos on taco night! I didn’t have any lettuce or tomatoes to put on top but I had sour cream and hot sauce ... going to try this again with all the toppings and some Fritos chips..

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Brown the beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
- 2
Add in the taco seasoning, the salsa, tomato sauce, the beef broth and the pasta shells.
- 3
Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- 4
Cover and simmer over medium-low heat stirring occasionally 20 minutes or until pasta is tender. (add more broth or water if needed) the original recipe called for 2 cups but I changed the amount of pasta to more and changed the pasta noodle type as well, was just some of my changes. so when I made this I think I used 3 cups I did add water to the Original recipe I was using.)
- 5
Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup cheddar cheese.
- 6
Top with diced tomatoes, sour cream or any other taco toppings you would like.
- 7
I think if you added Frito chips to the top of this it would taste like the hamburger helper taco.

This is great by itself but makes a hell of a dip too. That is why I suggest using a smaller pasta, so you can get that on your chip as well. Bear Baker -

Queso Taco Pasta Bake Queso Taco Pasta Bake
I came across this recipe on Pinterest and adapted the recipe a bit. I love that the recipe calls for a homemade queso cheese sauce rather than pre-packaged. This recipe isn't spicy (my kids ate and enjoyed it, and trust me, they don't do spicy) but you can increase the amount of cayenne pepper for more of a kick or use hot salsa and pepperjack cheese. You can also use a packaged taco seasoning in place of the seasonings I used. Recipe adapted from: picky-palate.com Christina -
