The scrumptious blend of milk and rice, with a dash of sugar, flavoured with green cardamom powder, drizzled with rose water and laced with saffron, garnished with badaam , keshews and some fresh rose petals.

The scrumptious blend of milk and rice, with a dash of sugar, flavoured with green cardamom powder, drizzled with rose water and laced with saffron, garnished with badaam , keshews and some fresh rose petals.
Steps

Wash and soak rice for 1 hour

Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan and set aside.Drain and grind the rice coarsely.

Broil saffron and set aside.chop badaam and cashews.

Add the coarsely ground rice paste to the milk and cook stirring continously so that there are no lumps and it does not burn or stick to the bottom of the pan.

Add sugar and condensed milk and mix it well.Add green cardamom powder, Saffron, chopped badaam and cashews and mix.Add rose water when the mixture starts thickening take it off the flame.Let it cool for some time.

Pour the phirni in a serving bowl and garnished with badaam, cashews and some fresh rose petals

Serve chilled or hot according to season or as per your choice
