Ingredients

  1. Custard mix for 1 quart (1 liter) of milk, sugar
  2. Maria cookies
  3. Chocolate for melting

Steps

  1. 1

    First, make the custard: In a saucepan, heat the milk with sugar. I add five tablespoons (about 65 grams).

  2. 2

    Set aside a small amount of milk in a cup to dissolve the custard mix packet.

  3. 3

    When the milk starts to boil, add the dissolved custard mix and stir constantly until thickened.

  4. 4

    In another saucepan, melt the chocolate with a little milk.

  5. 5

    Next, layer the dessert: Start with a layer of custard, then a layer of Maria cookies dipped in milk, then a layer of chocolate, another layer of milk-dipped cookies, and another layer of custard. Finish by decorating with a few cookies on top.

    Line a mold with a base of Maria cookies dipped in milk, covering the entire bottom.

  7. 7

    Refrigerate for about five hours, and there you have it—a quick and budget-friendly dessert!
