The batter should be thick but pourable. Let the batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes to rise slightly. If the batter thickens too much after resting, thin it with a little water.

Heat a nonstick skillet with a thick bottom. Once hot, reduce the heat and pour the batter into circles of your desired size. Before the batter dries and cooks completely, sprinkle a little nigella seed on top.
