Cook the cowpea in a cooker for 7-8 whistles

Meanwhile in a pan add oil, mustards adds, green chillies, onion and salt

Add tomatoes and let it cook for 5 mins until it becomes mushy

Add sambar powder and turmeric powder to this and cook for sometime

In another vessel take some water and add the chopped bottle guard to it and let it boil until it's cooked

Finally add the cooked bottle guard and cowpea to the tomatoes along with the water used for cooking

Add the tamarind water to this and let it boil for sometime
