Indian Kibbeh (Dawood Basha) – Very Tasty!
Steps
- 1
Finely chop half of the onions. Chop two tomatoes using a food chopper or processor. Mix the chopped onions and tomatoes with the ground meat, knead well, and form into meatballs. Place the meatballs in a baking dish, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of oil, and bake for 5 minutes.
- 2
Slice the remaining onions. Chop the rest of the tomatoes. Sauté the sliced onions in oil until they soften, then add the chopped tomatoes, salt, and spices. Let the mixture simmer on the stove for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat. Arrange the meatballs on top of the tomato-onion sauce, add the hot peppers (optional, to taste), and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
