Palak Dal without onion and garlic

First pressure cook moong dal with required water and turmeric powder for 2 whistles.

In a pan pour oil.Add mustard seeds,jeera let them splutter.Now add hing,green chillies,grated ginger and tomato.

Add dhania powder,jeera powder and pepper powder and let tomato become little soft.Now add chopped palak and salt to the pan and cook for 5min.

Now palak leaves some water and starts boiling.At this stage add cooked moong dal to it.Let it boil on low flame for 2 to 3mins.

Transfer the dal to a container and serve hot with rice or roti.
