In a kadai heat the half cup refined and fry the chicken pieces in it

In the same oil add the ginger and garlic paste cook fr 2 min.Now add the sliced onions and fry till the onions turns golden brown,at this stage add the chillies,salt,pepper,red chilli pow and garam masala powde mix it well and add the chicken coated well with all the masala,cook fr 3-5 min

Add the chopped tomatoes and give it a nice mix.Keep cooking on medium temp cover and cook fr 5-7 min giving one mix in between.Cook till the chicken is fully cook and tomato pieces are well mixed up,check the salt if required add at this point along with the lemon juice and more of pepper powder.
