Fried pathari is very famous cuisine of malabar . It is made of rice good and coconut mixture which is deep fried . You can serve it with any curry .

Fried pathari is very famous cuisine of malabar . It is made of rice good and coconut mixture which is deep fried . You can serve it with any curry .
Steps

First in a grinder take grated coconut and cumin seeds.Grind it coarsely.Keep this aside.

Now in a grinder take onion,green chilli and garlic cloves.Grind it coarsly.

In pan add clarified butter,then add grinded onion mix. Cook for 2 minutes,until raw smell of onion goes out.now add 2 cups of water and add kalonji seeds. Let it boil.

Then add salt to the water and mix well. Simmer the flame.Then add rice powder. Add rice powder little by little and stirring continuously.keep mixing with the spatula for about 2-3 minutes.Turn off the flame.

Now transfer this mix into tray,now add coconut cumin mix into this.Mix well and make a soft dough.

Now grease your palm and take small portion of dough.Make a ball shape and flatten it by using your fingers. Repeat this process and make more pathiri.

Take oil in a pan,fry these pathiri.Until they becomes light brown in colour.poricha pathari is ready. You can eat it like snacks or eat it with curry.
