Ingredients

  1. For the beef:
  2. 2 pkgau jus gravy that yields 2 cups a piece
  3. 6 cwater
  4. 1/2 cwhiskey
  5. 2LG portabello mushrooms, cubed to 1 1/2 inches
  6. 4Yukon gold potatoes, cubed to 1 1/2 inches
  7. 1LG sweet onion, course chopped
  8. 2 tbsminced roasted garlic
  9. 1/4 cyour preferred vinegar, I like red wine or balsamic
  10. 2 1/2-3 lbsbeef tri tip
  11. to tastesalt and pepper
  12. For the shrimp:
  13. 1 lb16 - 24 count prawns
  14. 3-4 Ozbutter
  15. 1 tbsminced roasted garlic
  16. juice of 2 limes
  17. 1/4 cupChile sauce

  1. 1

    For the beef

  2. 2

    Place au jus, water, potatoes, onion in a LG dutch oven. Able to be placed in the oven. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Roast for 45 minutes. Add whiskey, vinegar, and tri tip. Roast until beef is just done. 20 - 30 minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper

  5. 5

    For the shrimp

  6. 6

    In a LG frying pan melt butter.

  7. 7

    Add shrimp and garlic. Saute until shrimp are just done

  8. 8

    Add lime juice and Chile sauce. Stir and remove from heat. Serve and enjoy

cooking is a passion of mine. I started when I was very young and I had to drag a milk crate around to see over the counter. taught by a career cook (my grandmother ). I have always tried to push the boundaries of conventional cooking. I prefer cooking wild game. when I can get my hands on it, but fish is more readily available for me. I raise and butcher most of the livestock that I use for my conventional recipes. I hope everyone can find a few recipes they like in my list.
