New year means celebrations. And celebrations calls for food. Today I've brought this healthy soulfull chat as a new year dish. Why should we think of unhealthy junk for celebrations always. From a long time I wanted to try lapsi as a hero ingredient in cutlets. So finally tried today as i had a bowl of mix veg Dalia upma left with me. You can cook fresh Dalia and season with whatever veggies and spices you like. But the upma is an easier option . Finishing it with garnish of thick curd and tangy and spicy chutneys has made it heavenly. This kind of chat you would want to definitely include in your daily diet. So do make and enjoy.

Ingredients

2 servings
  • For the pattice:
  • 1 bowlmix veg Dalia upma
  • 1boiled potato
  • 1 tsplemon juice
  • Green chutney :
  • 100 gramsfresh coriander
  • 1green chilli
  • 1 tsproasted Dalia (split chickpeas)
  • Pinchsalt and sugar
  • Few tablespoons if water
  • Sweet chutney:
  • 1/4 cuporganic jaggery powder
  • Few tbsps water
  • 1/2 tsp(mixture of sauf,jeera, kalaunji)
  • Pinchred chilli powder
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1/2 tspoil
  • Curd mixture:
  • 400 gramswhisked Curd
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1-2 tspsugar
  • 2 tbspChopped coriander to garnish

Steps

10minutes
  1. 1

    Grind the green chutney.keep the whisked curd ready.temper oil with jeera,sauf,kalunji.add the jagery powder and water.add water and stir continuously till melted
    add salt and red chilli powder
    Let it simmer for few minutes then switch of the gas.Take the mix veg dalia upma and add the boiled potatoes

    Mash well with lemon juice

    Make round pattice

    Grill with little oil on both sides.

    Can serve right away with the chutneys as it is

    Or can make it more appetising by serving like a tangy sweet chat drizzled with lots of thick curd and chutneys. Finish it off with some chopped coriander.
