First soak both urad dal & rice for 7 to 8 hours..aftr properly soaked blend them also separately..

Then mix both batter properly when it becomes slidely fluffy consistency then keep it side & also cover it..take all the stuffing ingredient on a plate..

Then take a pan..add 1 tbs oil..add 1/2 tsp jeera..& cpd onion...when the onion turns lightly brown colour..then add both turmeric.. chilli pwr... & gin gar paste..

When the masala changes their colour then add the mashed potato & cook it for 2 to 3 min...then switch off the flame..

After complete cooling the potato mixture.. Then make small size ball out of the mixture...

Take the batter & once again mix it & add..ajwainn..crushed gin & garlicc..salt also...our chaka pitha batter is ready now..heat a pan & pour sufficient oil for deep frying.. take the potato ball 1 by 1 & dip in the batter(just like aloo chop) or fry it in the medium heat oil..

After 2 to 3 min remove the chaka pitha ball in the hot oil...then press it with the help of ur palm or backside of a plain bowl.. for the chaka pitha shape...

Once again deep fry the pressed chaka pitha in the medium heat oil untill it changes light golden colour..remove out it & place it on a tissue paper for extra oil...serve it with sweet & sour tamarind chutney...

It's a famous dish in our western odisha...just bcoz of it's shape it's called chaka(round)pitha...mostly it served with any type if curry iteam & some sour types of chutney...
