Quick-Boiled Eggs in an Electric Kettle

Use a toothpick or knife to poke a small hole in the rounded end of each eggshell.

Add enough water to the electric kettle to fully cover the eggs.

Place the eggs in the kettle. You should see small bubbles coming out from the hole at the end of the egg—this means you did it right!

Bring the water to a boil, then turn off the heat and let the eggs sit. For soft-boiled eggs (jammy yolk), let them sit for about 6 minutes. For hard-boiled eggs, let them sit for 10 minutes or until the water cools.

Prepare a bowl of water with ice cubes before taking the eggs out.

Transfer the eggs to the ice water to cool. This will make them easier to peel!
