Wash and soak dal for 1/2hr. Soak tamrind in water for pulp

Take a dal in cooker add 1/4tsp turmeric powder. Salt and 1tsp oil. Bitter gourd small chop and dry dates (kharek)Cover the lid. And make 4-5 whistles. Let it cool.

Open cooker. Transfer in a pan. Do not beat or blend.Just mix with spoon add grated ginger salt asafoetida chilli paste cook on a slow flame.

Now make a mixture of masala. Jaggery crushed peanuts cumin coriander powder chilli powder turmeric powder add in a dal. Add 1/2 glass water and cook on medium slow flame.

For tadka:-Heat ghee fenugreek seeds mustard seeds dry red chilli asafoetida pour in a dal.Lastly add tamarind pulp mix well. Cover lid and simmer for 15-20 mins. Serve with rice.I loved dal with Kamod rice combination is good and enhances taste

Tasty delicious dal is ready to serve.Garnish with chopped coriander.
