Ingredients

  1. To fry prawns
  2. 250 gmslarge prawns
  3. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  4. 1 tspred chilli powder
  5. 1 tspturmeric powder
  6. Juice of half lemon
  7. 1 tbsprice flour
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. To saute rice
  10. 2 cupsrice
  11. 1large onion
  12. 5 podsgarlic chopped
  13. 10-12peppercorn
  14. 1bay leaf
  15. 2green cardamom
  16. 1 tspred chilli powder
  17. 1 tspturmeric powder
  18. 4-5mint leaves
  19. As neededOil for frying
  20. 4 tbspOil to saute rice

Cooking Instructions

    Cook rice as usual add a tbsp of oil to it.

    Take peeled and deveined large prawns and wash them thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and rice flour. Mix everything well.

    While rice is cooking fry marinated prawns golden brown. Keep aside. Once the rice are done fluff them in a wide plate.

    In a large wok heat the oil add all whole spices cardamom, peppercorns and chopped garlic. Let them fry for 2 minutes.

    Add chopped onion and saute. When onion turns pink add red chilli powder and turmeric. Add rice and mix everything well.

    When rice take the colour of masala add fried prawns and mix everything.

  8. 8

    Garnish with chopped mint leaves. Ready to serve.
