Ingredients

  • 1 kgMutton
  • 3/4 kgRice basmati or kolam
  • 1/4 kgCurd
  • 8 teaspoonsGarlic paste
  • 2 teaspoonsGinger-garlic paste
  • 1 cupMilk
  • As RequiredWhole garam masala
  • 15-20Green chillies
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2Onions medium
  • 7-8 tablespoonsOil
  • 12-15Raisins
  • 2-3Potatoes-optional

Steps

    Wash the mutton add ginger garlic paste,salt and take 1-2 whistles in a pressure cooker,keep aside

  2. 2

    In a vessel heat oil,add the whole garam masala fry for a minute,then add finely sliced onions,fry till golden brown,now add the garlic paste and the green chillies paste and fry till the smell disapppears.

  3. 3

    Add curd and half raisins to it,fry for some time,now add the cooked meat with the water in it,add milk,soaked rice,salt and more water if needed for the rice to cook,cover the vessel let the rice cook for some time,lower the heat once the water is dried and let the rice cook slowly on low flame for some time,once done garnish with the remaining raisins and some fried onions with a little pure ghee enjoy with khatta meetha kachumber.
