Ingredients

  • 3soya chaps cut in pieces
  • 2 (grated)chopped onion
  • 2chopped tomato
  • 5-6 (grated)Garlic pods
  • 1 small grated pieceGinger
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1teaspoon +a pinch for marinationBlack pepper powder
  • 1teaspoonCoriander powder
  • 1/2teaspoon+a pinchTurmeric powder
  • 1/2 bowlMilk
  • A pinchajwain / carom
  • A pinchhing / asafoetida
  • 1/4 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  • as neededWater for gravy

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate soya chap pieces with salt,turmeric powder and black pepper powder,ajwain and keep it aside.

  2. 2

    Now heat oil in cooker and add hing.

  3. 3

    Now add grated onion,ginger and garlic and saute them.

  4. 4

    Now add chopped tomatoes and saute them.

  5. 5

    Now add turmeric powder,black pepper powder,coriander powder,red chilli powder and salt and mix well on sim.

  6. 6

    Now add marinated soya chap pieces and mix well for 2 minutes on sim.

  7. 7

    Add water-1small glass or as per requirement of gravy and give whistles.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with chapatties,parathas or rice.

  9. 9

    Garnish with chopped onion,tomato and chopped coriander leaves.
