Ingredients

  • 7oo grams Rice:
  • 1 cup Chopped Onions:
  • 3 cupsBoiled Chickpeas:
  • 1/4 cupYogurt:
  • 3/4 cup Oil:
  • Salt: as per taste
  • 1tspWhite Cumin:
  • 1 tbspGinger Garlic Paste:
  • 2 to 3 sticksCinnamon:
  • 8 to 10 Whole Green Chillies:
  • 4Tomatoes:
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaves:
  • Salad: for serving Raita: for serving

Steps

    Heat oil in pan and fry onions to golden brown.

  2. 2

    Add all-spice powder and cumin seeds and fry for a minute.

  3. 3

    Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, green chillies, beaten yogurt and cook until tomatoes are tender and oil appears separately. Roast spices well.

  4. 4

    Add boiled chickpeas and salt. Mix well and cook for 6 to 8 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add soaked rice, mix and add water.

  6. 6

    Once water begins drying, place it on steam-cook (dam).

  7. 7

    When rice are cooked completely, chana pulao is ready.
    Serve in a dish and garnish with green chillies and tomatoes.
