Baked Potato Wedges

Crispy Baked Potato Wedges aka 'French Fries' Does this look deep fried or baked. These Crispy Baked Potato Wedges aka 'French Fries'are baked and not deep fried, I swear. Believe me they taste equally yummy if not better. And while I am typing for this post... they are just gone . No trace at all. My family including me love to have French fries. But what we get in market are deep fried and expensive. This is my healthier and better version of those French fries. As this was super duper blockbuster heat at my home, thought of sharing with you all. So that you all may make these for your family and relish these without any guilt for holiday breakfast.

Steps
- 1
Wash and peel potatoes. Slice them and cut them in long strips, like for French fries. Immerse them in tap water for 25-30 minutes.
- 2
Wipe the moisture off with a clean kitchen towel
- 3
Preheat oven at 210 degree C. While oven is preheating, lay the wedges on a plate and let them soften for 3-4 minutes in the microwave. Do this in 2-3 batches. You can also par boil them.
- 4
Wipe off the moisture again with the towel
- 5
Put these in a large bowl, add oil and toss them so all the pieces are coated in oil.
- 6
Arrange the wedges on baking tray.
- 7
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown
- 8
Remove from oven and while the wedges are still hot sprinkle some seasoning and salt and mix them well. I sprinkled chaat masala and some salt.
- 9
Serve hot with any sauce, ketchup, dip or chutney of your choice and enjoy guilt free.
