Mandazi without yeast

Steps

Pour the first three ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix them

Add the egg and butter and mix

Add 1/3 cup of the milk and start kneading the dough. If you need more milk add until the dough is soft and well knead

Wrap the dough in a cling film, cover with kitchen towel and let it sit for 20-30minutes

After the 20 minutes, cut the dough into 4 or 5 equal size pieces

Roll the pieces out and cut each into four triangular shapes and cover them as you wait for your deep frying oil to heat

To confirm if the oil is hot enough place one piece in the pan. If it sinks after a few seconds the oil ain’t ready but if it floats it is ready.

Go ahead and start cooking your mandazi

Once you are done serve with a hot cup of tea/ soya/ coffee / chocolate/ milk or porridge 😊😊Enjoy😋😋
