This is an Ashkenaze condiment, often served during Passover as it is part of the tradition. However it is absolutely great the rest of the year, particularly with Gefilte Fish (recipe on here) also with chicken & Roasted Meats. Horseradish is very potent, so be careful when grating it.

  1. 150 grfreshly grated Horseradish
  2. 2cooked Beets - grated
  3. 1 tbspsugar
  4. 2 tbspRed Wine vinegar
  5. to tastesalt

    In a bowl put the Horseradish and Beets and mix well.

  2. 2

    Season with sugar, vinegar and salt to taste

  3. 3

    Spoon into a sterilized jar or container and press down firmly.

  4. 4

    Store in the refrigerator, it will keep for 2 - 3 weeks at least.
