  1. 1 tablespoonschmaltz (rendered chicken's fat - recipe to follow)
  2. 2brown onions finely sliced
  3. 4eggs lightly beaten
  4. halfa cup whole egg mayonnaise
  5. 2 clovesgarlic crushed
  6. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  7. 250 gLokshen
  8. 1 tablespoonfinely chop parsley

    Preheat the oven to 180°C

  2. 2

    Lightly oil 1.5 L ovenproof dish

  3. 3

    Heat the schmaltz in a frying pan and add the onions and cook stirring constantly over a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until golden, cool slightly

  4. 4

    Place the eggs, mayonnaise, garlic, paprika, noodles, onion and half the parsley in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix together well

  5. 5

    Place the mixture in the prepared dish and cook for about 45 minutes or until golden and set.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve immediately
