Ingredients

2servings
  1. 1 litremilk
  2. 3/4 cupbarley porridge (jau daliya)
  3. 1 table spoonhoney
  4. 10-13dates.
  5. 1 tea spoon kewra water
  6. 1/2 tea spoongreen cardamom powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Soake dates in lukewarm water for 1hour.Keep aside.

    Take milk in a pan and boil for 5 minutes on medium flame.Add barley.

    Cook for 10minutes on low flame till barley is soft.

    Chopped dates and add to barley.Cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes,add cardemom powder and honey.

    Now talbina is ready,add kewra water and remove frome stove.

    Take out in serving bowl,garnish with dates/dry fruits(optional).Serve.
