Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, baguette (soaked in a little water and squeezed dry), parsley, and kofta seasoning. Mix everything together very well.
- 2
Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then, grease a baking dish with a little oil, shape the kofta into logs, and place them in the dish. Mix some of the onion water with a little kofta seasoning and oil, then brush it over the kofta.
- 3
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the kofta and enjoy!
- 4
Note: I prefer not to add eggs to the kofta—the baguette works as a binder. If you want to add an egg, also add 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
- 5
For a smoky flavor, heat a piece of charcoal on the stovetop. Once the kofta is cooked, place the hot charcoal in the center of the baking dish, pour a little oil over it, and immediately cover the dish so the kofta absorbs the smoky aroma.
