Fatteh Hummus

I taught this to my daughter, and she always loves making it and surprising me with how she serves it—especially on Fridays. It's so delicious!

Steps
- 1
Spread the fried pita bread in a Pyrex dish or a large bowl.
- 2
Pour the chickpea cooking water over the bread to soak it, then drain any excess water. Sprinkle a little salt over the bread, then add the cooked chickpeas evenly on top.
- 3
Make the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients well. Pour the sauce over the chickpeas, then sprinkle with spices and red pepper powder. Garnish with parsley and diced tomato.
- 4
Heat the clarified butter or ghee in a pan, then pour it hot over the top of the fatteh. You can also add fried nuts on top if you like. Enjoy!
