Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupvegan butter (earth balance)
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1/4 cupunsweetened applesauce
  4. 1 tsplavender, crushed
  5. 1 1/2 cupflour
  6. 2 tspbaking powder
  7. 1/4 tspsalt
  8. For icing;
  9. 2 cupspowdered sugar
  10. 5 1/2 tspwater
  11. 6 1/2 tsprose water

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. 2

    Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the applesauce, lavender, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    While the cookies bake, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar with water and rose water thoroughly. Drizzle over the cookies after they've fully cooled.
