Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupvegan butter (earth balance)
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/4 cupunsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsplavender, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cupflour
  • 2 tspbaking powder
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • For icing;
  • 2 cupspowdered sugar
  • 5 1/2 tspwater
  • 6 1/2 tsprose water

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. 2

    Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the applesauce, lavender, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    While the cookies bake, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar with water and rose water thoroughly. Drizzle over the cookies after they've fully cooled.
