Also known as Brown lentils or Masoor Dal, are a powerhouse when it comes to nutrients as they are packed with rich complex carbohydrates, dietary fiber and lots of other minerals like Potassium.
I love making this dish as it takes minutes to prepare and is so so so so tasty. The recipe works well for any other legumes you might want to cook and the ingredients can be scaled according to preference.

Steps

Prepare all the ingredients.

Heat the sufuria and add cooking oil, onions and salt.

As this browns, add the black pepper, beef cube and Garlic.

Then the hoho, curry powder and tomato. Cook briefly to allow all the ingredients to come together.

Now add the Kamande and purple cabbage (It takes a while to cook so this will give it ample time). Stir and cover to cook for about 3mins.

Then add the dhania and water/broth to make some soup. A min or two to cook is enough.

Serve hot with some Ugali, chapo or rice.
