Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 4bread slices
  2. 1/2 cupoil
  3. 1/3 cupwater
  4. 1/2 cupsugar
  5. 3crushed cardamom/ Elaichi
  6. 6 strandssaffron
  7. 3 cupmilk
  8. 1 handfulcrushed cashews
  9. 1 handfulcrushed almonds
  10. 1 handfulchopped cherries

Cooking Instructions

    Take a sauce pan & heat water along with sugar, let it boil till the syrup achieves two string consistency. Once the sugar syrup turns a little thick, put off the stove & keep aside.

    Take another pan, boil milk, saffrin and sugar in medium flame untill the milk is reduced to about 1/4th of it's original quantity.

    Stir continuously, once the milk is reduced, add elaichi/ cardamom powder & mix well.

    Continue to heat it by stirring continuously for 5 more minutes, once it's done remove from heat and set aside.

    Take bread slices & cut them into half(triangle shape or rectangular shape)

  6. 6

    Shallow fry the bread slices in oil till it becomes crispy. Once it's done, soak the slices in sugar syrup for about a minute.

    Arrange the soaked slices on the serving dish. Pour the rabri over the bread slices & garnish with chopped nuts & cherries. Serve hot.
