Yummy Dry-Fried Chicken Gizzard #gizzardrecipecontest

While growing up, I remember I used to stay at the kitchen with mum and see her cook Kienyenji chicken. I would sacrifice watching TV or playing with my kid siz in the tableroom. You know why? Because being around mum the chicken liver, heart, and gizzard were reserved for people in the kitchen. There's no one instance that the gizzard made it to the dining table. Now as a big boy in my bedsitter and in the harsh economic times i afforded 250 gm Chicken gizzard from Maathai Supermarket Embu. The good thing about shopping for gizzard is that you don't have to nag the butcher with the common rant and lie ,"usiniekee mifupa..niko na shida ya meno"(please Mr.Butcher man, i need no bones in my meat, I got bad tooth.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Remove excess fat and wash then well, then chop them to your preference. [I wash in salty warm water].
- 2
In a bowl add the cleaned and chopped gizzards and mix together with half of the worchestire sauce (the sauce is cousing to soy sauce, i love its unique savory richness in meat dishes). Let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 3
In a pan or cooking pot on high heat, add oil till hot. Add the gizzards and let them cook till they brown. Reduce the heat when they are evenly browned.
- 4
Add the red onion, dania stalk, and the remaining minced garlic and let them sautee till fragrant.
- 5
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, carrots and the spices (paprika, curry powder, chicken bouillon cube, and remaining worchestire sauce) and allow to cook till tomatoes soften. You may add little water to prevent the dish sticking to the pot.
- 6
Add the green bell pepper, the chilli and salt and let the bell peper cook for 2 minutes.
- 7
Garnish with chopped dania leaves, stir and turn of heat.
- 8
Serve while hot with accompaniment of your choice(Ugali, Rice, Mashed potatoes, Mukimo e.t.c)

Super Juicy Super Crispy Fried Chicken Thighs Super Juicy Super Crispy Fried Chicken Thighs
About 20 years ago I made the best fried chicken of my life. I have never replicated that recipe. My problem then was just adding some of this, a bit of that. I have come close but just never the same in taste or in texture. I have never given up trying and I think this is as close I ever got to recreating it. It turned out so tasty, juicy and just the right crispness. You can use this recipe to fry any chicken. Skin on, skinless. Breasts, wings thighs or legs. Taylor Topp Comacho -
Shallow-fried fried chicken Shallow-fried fried chicken
There are few things more satisfyingly delicious than freshly cooked, hot and juicy fried chicken. But it's not always practical to make a batch. It's not only messy, it can also be dangerous (at least for us, with a rambunctious almost-five-year-old running in and out of the kitchen). So when I make it, I prefer to shallow fry the chicken in a pan. There's less splatter, cleanup is slightly easier, and there's no giant pot of hot oil to accidentally spill. Admittedly, you won't get the super-crunchy chicken with this method that you'd get with deep-fried (think somewhere between KFC and Popeyes). But you will get wonderfully moist and tender chicken wrapped in a delicious crust. Robert Gonzal -

Salt and Pepper Fried Chicken Salt and Pepper Fried Chicken
One of the Chinese Restaurants’ menus that my daughter and I always ordered back in my home country 😍. It’s crunchy, buttery salty, and spicy. Just the perfect combination. You can use fish or oyster mushrooms to replace the chicken or even shrimps. Salt Flavoured Fried Chicken Salt Flavoured Fried Chicken
Lately I've often made salt-fried chicken using chicken thighs. I was wondering if I could make it with chicken breasts keeping the same flavor and texture. I tried making it but it turned out to be a little bit hard.I'd heard that adding mayonnaise makes the chicken tender before, so I tried it. It was right!I sliced the chicken diagonally into strips so that the chicken will cook tender. When you add katakuriko potato starch flour and mix with chopsticks during Step 3, you should have a little bit dry part left, so please adjust the amount. You can keep this dish in the freezer and microwave in the morning to add to a bento. It's a bit help! Recipe by Hokkori-no cookpad.japan -
Fried Chicken Strips Fried Chicken Strips
This is my husband's and my youngest son's favorite! I started making fried chicken in the 60's. I learned that it is almost impossible to make crispy chicken in light weight non-stick pans. You need a heavy or weighted pan that will conduct the heat and hold temperature. sandra53 -
