Growing up in Texas I ate a lot of fried chicken as a child and something I always noticed was everybody I knew that made it had their own way to do the breading. So naturally I had to one up my family and friends and came up with a simple yet delicious twist on the old favorite!
Steps
- 1
put your flour in a bowl and mix your cheyenne pepper, salt, pepper, and garlic into flour very well.
- 2
take your eggs and beat them with your heavy cream.
- 3
dunk both sides of your chicken breasts into your flour mixture, then repeat that process in your egg wash then one more time in the flour, as to make sure your chicken will be thoroughly breaded.
- 4
heat your oil to 350°F in a fairly deep pot to prevent oil from going everywhere when you put your chicken in.
- 5
place chicken breasts in the heated oil, takes about 4 minutes a side (depending on the size of your chicken and heating of your oil will take or add a minute or two to cook time) keep watch that the outside doesnt cook to fast while the inside would stay raw.
