Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 3medium-sized potatoes
  2. 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1/4 cupcornflour
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. to tasteBlack pepper powder
  6. As requiredWater
  7. 2-3 tspoil
  8. 1/4 cupcapsicum chopped into squares
  9. 1/4 cuponion chopped into squares
  10. As requiredGreen onions to garnish
  11. 1/2 tbspred chilli sauce
  12. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  13. 1-2 tspchopped green chillies
  14. 1/2 tbsptomato ketchup
  15. 1/2 tbspgreen chilli sauce
  16. 1 tbspschezwan sauce

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the potatoes and slice them into wedges.

  2. 2

    Soak them in water for about half an hour.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt and pepper. Add enough water to make a batter.

  4. 4

    Dip each potato wedge and deep fry them until crisp. Fry the wedges separately or they will stick together.

  5. 5

    In a non-stock pan, heat some oil. Add ginger-garlic paste and let it cook. Then add onions and saute them. Saute capsicum. We need the veggies to be crisp. So don’t cook them.

  6. 6

    Now add tomato ketchup, green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce and schezwan sauce and cook for a minute or two.

  7. 7

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. 8

    Now add the fried potato wedges and mix well until all the wedges are completely coated with the sauce.

  9. 9

    Garnish with chopped green onions and enjoy hot.
