Take whole wheat flour, salt, sugar,baking powder in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly. Add well whisked curd and mix well.

Gradually add water and make a soft, smooth and pliable dough. It is ok if the dough is a bit sticky but do not make it dry. Adjust water quantity as needed. Let the dough rest for 2-3 hours for best results.

While making naan, heat a cast iron tava. Let the tava become very hot. Once the tava is hot maintain medium flame.
Divide the dough into 10-12 equal sized balls. - 5
Take a dough ball and roll into a oval slightly thicker than roti. Sprinkle minced garlic and chopped cilantro leaves. press gently and roll again once. Flip the rolled naan and brush the other side with some water.

Now place the rolled naan on hot tava with watered side down. Cook for 30-40 seconds till some bubbles appear.
Now flip the naan and place it on direct flame. If you have a tava with handle you ca directly flip it if you convenient doing so, else use a tong and flip the naan. - 7
Cook the naan on flame till chars appear. Once the naan is well cooked and slightly browned, remove from flame and brush some butter.

Serve naan hot with any curry.
