Soak dal in water for 3-4 hrs in cooker

Then add turmeric powder and salt in dal and switch on the flame and cook for 6-7 whistles

Then in a saucepan boil some water, take tomatoes and make cross cut on opposite side and add them in boiling water for 90seconds

Then off the flame of sauce pan and take tomatoes out and pour chilled water immediately. Then Peel the skin of tomatoes and make puree of them.

Then take a wok, add oil, then add jeera and crackle it, then add ginger garlic paste and saute, then add tomato puree then cook till the oil seperates, then add red chilli powder, then add the boiled urad dal in it and some warm water, then cook for 25-30 mins on low flame. Check the salt add if needed.

Then pour the dal in serving bowl, garnish with white butter and fresh cream. Enjoy with laccha paratha or even with simple parantha.
