Ingredients

  • for boiling:
  • 4 cupwater
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 20florets gobi / cauliflower
  • 1 cupcold water
  • for batter:
  • 3/4 cupmaida / plain flour
  • 1/4 cupcorn flour
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • as neededoil for deep frying
  • 1 tbspfor manchurian sauce:
  • 4 tspoil
  • 2 clovegarlic, finely chopped
  • 1 inchginger, finely chopped
  • 1green chilli, slit
  • 1/4thonion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cupspring onion, chopped
  • 1/2capsicum, cube
  • 2 tbsptomato sauce
  • 1 tspchilli sauce
  • 2 tspvinegar
  • 2 tspsoy sauce
  • 1/4 tsppepper, crushed
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • for corn flour slurry:
  • 1 tspcorn flour
  • 1/4 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large kadhai heat 4 tsp oil and saute 2 clove garlic,1 inch ginger and 1 green chilli on high flame.
    also, saute ¼ onion and 2 tbsp spring onion on high flame.
    further add ½ capsicum and continue to saute till they slightly change colour.

  2. 2

    Additionally add 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tsp chilli sauce, 2 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, ¼ tsp pepper and ¼ tsp salt.
    mix well and saute for a minute.

  3. 3

    Add cornflour slurry.
    give a good mix until the gravy slightly thickens and turns translucent.
