Bring a pot of water to a boil to cook the mezze penne. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Slice the zucchini into rounds.

In a skillet, heat some olive oil and sauté the shallot. Add the zucchini and cook.

Cut the smoked salmon into pieces and add it to the zucchini. Cook for a few minutes, then add the cream cheese and stir until you get a creamy sauce.
