In a bowl mix sugar,cornflour and salt.In another bowl mix egg and 1/2cup milk.Whisk well.

Boil 1cup milk and remove from heat,add to bowl A gradually,stirring continuously.Add vanilla essence.

Mix egg mixture to sugar mixture Blend well and divide inti 2equal portion.Say one portion is A and another is B.

Cook till thick.Keep aside.

Melt chocolate on water bath.Keep aside.

Boil 1cup milk in a pan.Remove from heat and mix gradually to second bowl B.Stir continuously.Cook the mixture till thick.

Now put both the puddings alternately into serving glasses.Garnish with desiccated coconut.Serve chilled or warm.
