Ingredients

  1. 1cupMaida (All Purpose Flour)
  2. 2 tbsp Oil
  3. ¹/⁴tspSalt
  4. 2 Chopped onions
  5. as neededOil for deep fry
  6. 250 gmsMutton mince
  7. 1tsp each ginger garlic paste
  8. 1tspRed chilli powder
  9. ¹/²tspTurmeric powder
  10. 1tspCoriander powder
  11. 1tspCumin powder (jeera)
  12. ¹/²tspGaram masala
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. 1 handfulCoriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan.Add ginger garlic paste & saute it.

  2. 2

    Now add onions & saute till it is transcultural.

  3. 3

    Add all the spices,salt & mix well.

  4. 4

    Now add the mince.Cook over high heat for 2-3 mins then cover and simmer for next 15-20 mins or till the mince is cooked.

  5. 5

    If moisture is left, increase the heat & dry that out completely.

  6. 6

    Add chopped coriander leaves & mix well.

  7. 7

    Mix dough & oil well.Now add water & knead into a dough.Rest it for 15 mins.

  8. 8

    Make small balls of the dough.Roll each ball into 4-5 inches diameter.Apply water all over it.

  9. 9

    Place a spoonful of the filling in the centre.Lift the sides of the dough,pleat them & seal the samosas by pressing the pleat.

  10. 10

    Deep fry the potlis till golden brown.

  11. 11

    Serve with tamarind sauce or mint chutney or ketchup.
