Cooking Instructions

Peel and wash the bittergourd. Make a longitudinal slit and put generous salt and leave aside for sometime.

Chop the bittergourd into 1.5 - 2 inch pieces, you can remove seeds if you want too. Wash them once with water.

Take oil in a wok and fry the bittergourd till golden brown and drain aside.

In the same wok,add sliced onions and saute till translucent.

Add chopped tomato and saute till soft.
- 6
Add salt and other dry spices and mix well.
- 7
Add fried bittergourd pieces and cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Open and mix all well and add chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice,dal or roti..
