Lightly flavoured, good for kids or elders as snacks in the evening or small hunger. Tummy filling. I have given a tadka of white Mustard seeds, fennel and cumin with coconut oil here. The yougurt and lemon makes it creamy and tangy. Finishing off with fresh mint and coriander gives a completion to the dish. Did not feel the need of any other spices. My kids loved it the way it is. A new flavour for them rather than the same monotonous spices. You can use any unflavoured oil if not using coconut oil.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 cupkabuli chana
  2. 1/2 tspwhite mustard seeds
  3. 1/2 tspfennel seeds
  4. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1chopped onion
  6. 1/2lime
  7. 1/2 cupYogurt
  8. 2 tbspchopped mint
  9. 4 tbspchopped coriander
  10. 1 tspcoconut oil / any unflavoured oil

Steps

    Soak kabuli chana overnight

    Cook with sufficient water for 3 whistles

    Strain and keep aside

    Keep the other Ingredeints ready

    Heat oil in a pan. First add the mustard seeds. As it splutters ass the cumin and fennel

    Now add the tadka to kabuli chana and mix well

    Now add the salt,lime,yogurt and chopped onion

    Mix till evenly coated
