Ingredients

  1. For wada:
  2. 4boiled potatoes
  3. 2 tbspgreen chilli, ginger garlic paste
  4. to tasteSalt as per taste
  5. 3/4 tspturmeric powder
  6. 1 tspoil
  7. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  8. 10-12curry leaves finely chopped
  9. 2 tsplemon juice
  10. For besan dip:
  11. 1 1/2 cups besan
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. 1/2 tspcarrom seeds
  14. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  15. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  16. Water as required
  17. Other ingredients:
  18. as neededOil for frying
  19. As neededGreen chilli

Cooking Instructions

    Mashed potatoes. Heat oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add green chilli, ginger garlic paste and turmeric. Cook for 1min.

    Pour over mashed potatoes. Add salt and lime juice. Mix well.

    Make round cutlets and set aside.

  4. 4

    Add all the ingredients of besan dip and using water prepare medium thick batter. It should be pouring consistency but not too runny.

    Heat oil, dip potato cutlets in besan dip. Coat it well and drop them in hot oil.

    Flip and cook from both sides till golden brown.

  7. 7

    Keep on tissue paper to remove excess oil.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
