Ingredients

  • 3/4teasel gourd(cut into half pieces and half boiled)
  • For stuffing:
  • 2 tspFor mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsppoppy seeds
  • 3 tbspcoconut grated
  • 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tspsalt(to taste)
  • For the batter
  • 1/4 cupbesan/ gram flour
  • 1/2rice flour
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt(to taste)
  • 1/2 cupwater(as required)
  • 2 cupoil (for frying)

Steps

  1. 1

    Frist, each teasel gourd remove the seeds using a spoon and keep them aside.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan, add hing, green chilli paste,poppy seeds paste, mustard seeds paste, grated coconut, mashed tender seeds, turmeric powder, cook them for 4 -5 minutes stirring continuously, now keep it aside to cool.

  3. 3

    Now stuff the teasel gourd with this cooked mixture.

  4. 4

    Now make batter, take a bowl add basan, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder and water make a thick batter.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a, coat the stuffed teasel gourd in the batter and deep fry them till golden brown, Kakroler Pur is ready.
